In April 2024, Google announced that developers with apps that are in the Health and fitness or Medical categories on Google Play are required to complete the health apps declaration on the App content page (Policy > App content) in Play Console. Some developers must do so by 31 May 2024, while other developers must complete the form later this year, depending on their deadline.

What are health and fitness apps?
Apps that help users manage their health and fitness. These apps usually inform or let users track or sync information about their personal health and fitness, and progress towards their goals in areas such as fitness, nutrition, wellness, and sleep. Examples include fitness trackers, nutrition trackers, sleep trackers, and stress management apps.
